The Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival has announced its official award recipients for the 2017 Orlando Fringe Festival. The awardees are:

  • BEST PLAY, COMEDY: Petunia and Chicken
  • BEST PLAY, DRAMA: Commencement
  • BEST PLAY, MUSICAL: ThanksKilling: The Musical
  • BEST SOLO SHOW, COMEDY: Til Death: The Six Wives of Henry VIII
  • BEST SOLO SHOW, DRAMA: Martin Dockery: Delirium
  • BEST SOLO SHOW, MUSICAL: Beers About Songs
  • BEST PHYSICAL-THEATER, VARIETY OR SPECIALTY SHOW: Baker’s Dozen: 12 Angry Puppets
  • BEST ORIGINAL SCRIPT: Forget Me Not, written by Rob Gee
  • BEST ORIGINAL BOOK & LYRICS OF A MUSICAL: Punslingers: A Western Wordplay Musical, written by Sam Hammersley and Seth Brown
  • BEST ORIGINAL SCORE/MUSIC: Ominous George, composed by Steve Schneider
  • BEST ARTISTIC DESIGN: Caws & Effect
  • BEST TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT: Fringe Family Feud
  • BEST FEMALE PERFORMER: Leesa Castaneda, La Reina Yolanda
  • BEST MALE PERFORMER: Marlon Andrew Burnley, Black in the Box
